St Davids (Wales) to Lowestoft Suffolk 400 miles in 4 days.
This will be the third time we have run this trip. We leave Dunx Cycles in Lowestoft at 9.00am On thursday and drive to St Davids in Wales. Each evening we meet up to socialise and enjoy a meal together. Riders should be capable of 15mph average riding speed, and be fit enough to ride 400 miles in 4 days.
The cost includes 4 nights shared (twin room Accomodation), 4 breakfasts, and full support for your bike. The van will never be far away if you have a mechanical, or it starts to rain and you need your wet gear. You may pack whatever you like as the van is large and will have plenty of space. Dunwich Dynamo 2026

We are running transport again in 2026
Every year thousands of people gather at Hackney Field in London on the Saturday nearest the full moon in July, to take part in the Dunwich Dynamo. It is a free unorganised event which takes you 113 miles to Dunwich in Suffolk. It is now so busy that unless you leave very early or late (most leave between 8pm – 9pm), you can likely just follow the rider in front.
The many pubs in the first half of the evening provide a stop almost whenever you feel you need it, and at Sudbury (half way point) the Fire station put on an all night BBQ. After the pubs close there are a number of “pop up” stops which provide hot drinks, bacon rolls, hot food etc.
Riding into the rising sun towards Dunwich is often very Beautiful and can provide some stunning photo opportunities. When you get to Dunwich you can relax on the beach, take a dip in the sea or just head home. The beach cafe opens at about 4am to provide breakfast etc.
We do our best to transport your bike safely but can take no responsibility if it gets damaged. Between 2014 – 2024 we took 50+ riders and bikes to the start of the Dunwich Dynamo, each year, and no bikes have ever been damaged at all.

This year you will need to ring the shop (01502-218118) between 9.00 – 5.30 (not Sunday) and reserve your place. We will give you our bank details. Your seat will be confirmed once we have received your bank transfer. Alternatively we will accept cash in the shop.
If you have to cancel your place, then we will happily refund your payment if we can resell your ticket to someone else. We are also happy for you to resell your ticket but we will need to know the details of the new owner, so we can check them onto the bus.
We always get late cancellations, so if we have sold the last ticket, we can still put you on our waiting list.
Itinery
12.00 Midday last bike to arrive for packing onto the lorry
1.00 pm Leave Dunx Cycles Lowestoft
1.45pm Pick up at Darsham (ask for cordinates, but it is the southbound layby just after the railway station on A12)
4.00pm Arrive Olympic Velodrome and unload. It is then a 2 mile ride to Hackney field. If you want you can stay with the crowd and go together or make your own way if you prefer.
4.30 Plenty of time in the park to Carb load and soak up the atmosphere. Also time to have a look around and see who is riding the strangest contraption!
