Join lots of other cyclists on 23rd June 2018, leaving Cambridge on the first ever Solstice Sunride. From Cambridge the ride goes up into Thetford Forest via Lakenheath and Mildenhall, and then into the Waveney valley for an all night ride, which if you time your departure right will see you on the seafront at Lowestoft in time for the Sunrise at 4.30am. Miles per hour is not important. It is more about Smiles per hour. Any bike style is good. Decorate your bike with lights and make it an experience you will never forget. The ride is 100 miles. Aim to be in Lowestoft for 4.30am.
There will be various pubs open in the first half of the ride, and a half way stop at East Harling sports and social club, where you can use their facilities and top up on coffee, bacon etc. Some sort of GPS navigation is recommended because although we will put a few signs out, these will be easily missed in the dark. You can download the GPX file here.
Slower riders may choose to leave the park at around 4pm whilst the seasoned club cyclist might not leave Cambridge until 11pm or even later. You leave when you want but try to time your ride so that you are at the finish to watch the sunrise at 4.30am
